How to choose
- Start with seat height: your feet should rest flat with your thighs level. Each card links to the brand's own range.
- Check the weight rating if it matters to you: the chairs here list 300 lb to 400 lb.
- Compare the version you want, not only the starting price: several chairs list a range because arms, lumbar or size options change the price.
- If you can, try the chair first: our Find a Showroom page lists stores that carry these brands.
How we ranked
- Who is included: published office task chairs in our catalog (gaming, saddle, kneeling and conference chairs are left out) with an official US list price from the brand's own store or official price list. Sale prices are ignored, and chairs listed only for the Japanese market are left out.
- Spec record (up to 20): 20 if the brand publishes the main measurements (spec grade A), 10 if it publishes some (grade B).
- Features (up to 40): 8 points each for headrest, lumbar support, armrests, recline/tilt and adjustable seat depth, when the brand's own specifications list them. A single seat-depth figure counts only if the brand gives a range or says it adjusts.
- Weight capacity (up to 20): 20 for 330 lb or more, 15 for 300 lb or more, 10 for 250 lb or more, 5 for any lower published figure, 0 if not published.
- Warranty (up to 20): 4 points per year, up to 5 years; lifetime counts as 20.
- Ties go to the lower list price, then the name. Affiliate links and commissions play no part in the order, and the score is not a comfort or hands-on test result.

HBADA E3 Air (2026 Edition)
Price: $499 – $549
Score 100/100 — Spec record A: 20 · features (headrest, lumbar support, armrests, recline/tilt, adjustable seat depth): 40 · capacity 330 lb: 20 · warranty 5 yr: 20
The E3 Air 2026 Edition is the lighter, lower-priced sibling of HBADA's E3 Pro. It keeps the three-zone lumbar (a centre pad with two side wings that pivot), the 4D dual-axis headrest, an all-mesh seat and an adjustable seat depth, and it is sold in Black or Gray, with or without a pull-out footrest. This page covers the 2026 Edition (HBADA SKUs E301…E-DLZ) sold under the same name on HBADA's US, UK and EU stores; HBADA's US store also still lists an earlier E3 Air, which is a different listing. Official figures: HBADA's EU store lists a seat height of 46.5–55 cm (8.5 cm of travel), a seat depth of 43–48 cm (5 cm of travel), a seat width of 51.5 cm, an armrest height of 68.5–84 cm and a five-position tilt up to 140°. The armrests move 7 cm up and down and 10 cm forward and back and the pads rotate 360°; the lumbar moves 5 cm in height (6 steps) and 3 cm in depth (4 steps), with 40° of side-wing rotation; the headrest moves 4 cm up and down and 7 cm forward and back, with two 70° rotation axes; the backrest itself rises 8 cm. The US store lists a 330 lb / 150 kg maximum load, overall dimensions of 26.4"-28" deep, 24.8" wide and 44.3"-52.4" high, and a recommended user height of 5'1" to 6'5" (155–195 cm). HBADA does not publish the chair's own weight. Warranty: the US store lists 5 years on the base, gas lift and casters and 3 years on other parts (mechanism, arms, backrest and so on). Price: the HBADA US store lists $499 without the footrest and $549 with it. On 2026-10-09 the store was running a sale ($379 / $427); we record the list price only, so check the live page before ordering. Compared with the E3 Pro (2026 Edition), HBADA's own comparison says the E3 Pro adds flip-up 720° arms, more lumbar height travel and a little more seat-depth travel, while the E3 Air has lower-reaching arms and one more recline lock. What to check before ordering: whether the lowest seat height (46.5 cm) suits your leg length, and whether you want the footrest version.
Good to check first: The armrest pads rotate 360°; for arms that also swivel at the body, look at the E3 Pro's 720° arms.
Best for: People who want HBADA's three-zone lumbar, 4D headrest and adjustable seat depth at a lower list price than the E3 Pro
Pros
- Three-zone lumbar with published travel (5 cm height, 3 cm depth, 40° side wings)
- Adjustable seat depth 43–48 cm and seat width 51.5 cm (HBADA EU store)
- Five-position tilt up to 140°; optional footrest version
Good to know
- Warranty on the mechanism, arms and backrest is 3 years
- HBADA does not publish the chair's own weight
- The UK store's seat width and seat height figures do not match the EU store's

It comes in Black or Gray, with or without a pull-out footrest. HBADA does not publish the chair's own weight. Warranty: the US store lists 5 years on core load-bearing parts (base, gas lift, casters) and 3 years on other parts (mechanism, arms, backrest and so on). Price: the HBADA US store lists $659 without the footrest and $709 with it. On 2026-10-08 the store was running a sale ($487 / $539); we record the list price only, so check the live page before ordering. HBADA's UK and EU stores sell the same 2026 Edition in pounds and euros. What to check before ordering: the seat depth range (45–50 cm) if you have long or short thighs, whether you need the footrest version, and the armrest height range (28.3"–34.4") against your desk height.
Good to check first: Choose with or without the footrest at checkout; it is a separate option on the E3 Pro.

Frequently asked
- How is this list ordered?
- By the same published score as our other computed lists: spec record, listed features, weight capacity and warranty, taken only from each brand's own specifications, with the lower list price first on a tie. It is not a comfort test, and no brand pays for a place.
- Do you use sale prices?
- No. Prices are the brand's official US list prices; stores often show a lower sale price, so check the live page before ordering.
- Why is a well-known chair missing?
- A chair is included only when its brand publishes an official US list price and enough specifications to score it; the list then shows the 12 highest scores. A chair outside the top 12 can still be a good fit — use the Chair Finder or the comparisons to check it.
Sources: specifications and list prices come from each brand's official pages, linked with their check dates on each product page. Owner highlights summarize our own analysis of owner reports; they are not quotes or ratings.
