How to choose
- Start with lumbar height: look for a stated range so the support can sit where your lower back curves (5 in on the Steelcase Leap, 6 in on the Autonomous ErgoChair Pro, 2" on the SIHOO B300 Pro).
- Check whether the lumbar also moves in and out: the HBADA E3 Pro lists 3.2 cm and the SIHOO B300 Pro 0.8"; others, such as the SIHOO Doro C300, list a self-adaptive support instead of a manual setting.
- Check seat-depth adjustment so you can sit against the backrest: the Branch Ergonomic Chair lists 18–22 in and the Steelcase Series 1 15.5–17.75 in.
- If you like to work at a set angle, look for recline locks: the SIHOO B300 Pro and Doro C300 Pro V2 lock at 105°, 120° and 135°.
- Check arm adjustment so the armrests meet your elbows at desk height: Steelcase lists 4D arms on the Leap and Series 1.
- On some chairs the adjustable lumbar is an option: Herman Miller lists Adjustable Lumbar Support as optional on the Aeron, so check the configuration before you buy.
- This shortlist compares adjustability and fit; it is not medical advice. If you have ongoing pain, ask a health professional what to look for.

Good to check first: The recline stops at 126°, so look at a deeper-reclining model if you like to nap in your chair.
$300–$1,000

SIHOO Doro C300 Pro V2
Price: $499.99 – $549.99
The Doro C300 Pro V2 is SIHOO's redesign of the Doro C300 Pro, which the US store currently labels its "Premium Pick". SIHOO calls it a full-body adaptive chair: the headrest, backrest, lumbar pad and armrests are linked by what the brand names the DynaCore synchronized support system, so they move together as you sit upright, lean back or shift position. The backrest glides as you recline (SyncroFlex Back-Glide), and the recline resistance adjusts to the sitter's weight. Official figures: SIHOO's US store specification table lists a seat depth of 16.9"-18.5" (a 1.6" slide), a seat width of 20.5", a backrest height of 20.5"-23.6" above the seat (7 height settings over a 3.2" range), recline angles of 105°, 120° and 135°, a maximum load of up to 330 lbs, a net weight of 59.64 lbs and a 3-year warranty covering manufacturing defects. The store's FAQ says the chair is designed for users from 4'11" to 6'3" (150-190 cm). The UK store gives the same table in metric (seat depth 43-47 cm, seat width 52 cm, backrest height 52-60 cm, up to 150 kg, 27.37 kg). SIHOO does not publish a seat height range for the V2 on its US, UK or EU stores, so we leave that field empty rather than estimate it. Adjustments: the Domino Sacral-Lumbar Support 2.0 pad moves up or down and has 3 support levels, which is a change from the self-adjusting lumbar on the original C300 Pro. The 8D armrests move up, down, forward and back, rotate and tilt; SIHOO shows the rear of the armrest tilting up for handheld gaming and the arms swinging aside to pull closer to the desk. The 3D headrest is described as 28% wider than before and adjusts in three directions. Seat depth and recline are set from a handle on the right-hand side. It comes in Black or White, each as a Standard Version or a Footrest Version. Price: the SIHOO US store lists a regular price of $499.99 (Black) or $509.99 (White) for the Standard Version and $539.99-$549.99 for the Footrest Version. The store also shows a lower sale price; we only record the regular list price, so check the live price before ordering. C300 Pro V2 against the C300 Pro: on regular price the V2 costs less ($499.99-$549.99 against $789.99-$839.99), has 8D rather than 6D armrests, a manually set lumbar pad with 3 levels rather than an automatic one, a height-adjustable backrest, and a slightly longer seat-depth range (16.9"-18.5" against 16.81"-17.76"). The C300 Pro is lighter (55.34 lbs against 59.64 lbs) and is the one with an official seat-height range. Both list a 330 lb maximum load and a 3-year warranty on the US store. C300 Pro V2 against the Doro C300: SIHOO's own comparison table on the V2 page lists the C300 with 4D armrests and a dynamic lumbar support, against the V2's 8D armrests and Domino 2.0 sacral-lumbar pad. The C300's regular price is $559.99-$569.99 (Standard Version). What to check before ordering: your height against SIHOO's 4'11" to 6'3" range, the 59.64 lb weight (the UK store says it ships in two packages), and whether you prefer a lumbar pad you set yourself or one that adjusts on its own.
What users love
- Comfort that lasts the day. Users say hours go by without fatigue, and several call it the most comfortable chair they have owned.
- A back that feels better. Users say their back pain eased after switching, and one with a long-standing back issue says long sessions feel easier in it.
Good to check first: Set the armrests where you want them; reviewers say they shift when pushed and do not lock, so avoid using them to stand up.

SIHOO M57
Price: $319.99
The M57 is SIHOO's all-mesh M-series chair: a mesh seat and a mesh back, a lumbar pad that moves up/down and in/out, a headrest that rises and tilts, and 3D armrests. It is sold in Black, Gray and White. Compared with the M18, which has a foam seat cushion, the M57 uses mesh for the seat as well (SIHOO's own comparison). Official figures: SIHOO's DE store lists a seat height of 46–55 cm, a seat width of 51 cm, a seat depth of 46 cm and a recommended user height up to 185 cm; the US store lists a seat depth of 18.11", overall dimensions of 28" wide x 28" deep x 42"-49" high, a 330 lb maximum load, a chair weight of 44.8 lb and a recline up to 126°. The headrest adjusts up to 3.9 in vertically and rotates 45°; the armrests move up and down, side to side and forward and back. SIHOO does not publish a seat-depth adjustment for the M57. Warranty: 3 years (SIHOO US store). Price: the SIHOO US store lists $319.99 for all three colours. On 2026-10-09 the store showed a sale price of $239.99; we record the list price only, so check the live page before ordering. What to check before ordering: the seat depth is fixed (46 cm), so it suits average thigh lengths best, and the recline stops at 126°.
What users love
- Built to last. Users describe two to six years of daily use with the mesh still holding its shape.
- Breathable mesh. Users in hot, humid rooms like that the mesh seat and back stay cool.
Good to check first: The recline stops at 126°, so look at a deeper-reclining model if you like to nap in your chair.

SIHOO B300 Pro
Price: $329.99 – $379.99
The B300 Pro is the top model of SIHOO's B series. It adds to the B100 line a lumbar pad that adjusts in height and depth (SIHOO calls it 4D MicroFit lumbar), a backrest that moves up and down, 6D armrests that rotate and flip up, a wide 3D headrest, an adjustable seat depth and a recline whose tension adjusts to the sitter's weight automatically. It comes in Black or White, each as a Standard or Footrest Version. Official figures (SIHOO US store): seat depth 16.5"–18.5" (about 2 in of travel), seat width 19.1", maximum load 330 lbs, net weight 43.7 lb, three lockable recline angles at 105°, 120° and 135°, lumbar travel 0.8" in depth and 2" in height, and backrest height travel 2.2". SIHOO's UK and EU stores give the seat depth as 42–47 cm, the seat width as 48.5 cm and a lower maximum load of 120 kg; we show the US load figure. SIHOO does not publish a seat height for the B300 Pro. Warranty: 3 years (SIHOO US store). Price: the SIHOO US store lists $329.99 (Black) and $339.99 (White) for the Standard Version and $369.99 / $379.99 for the Footrest Version. On 2026-10-09 the store showed sale prices of $259.99–$299.99; we record the list price only, so check the live page before ordering. What to check before ordering: SIHOO does not publish the seat height range, and the UK/EU stores state a lower load rating than the US store.
Good to check first: The recline locks at 105°, 120° or 135°.
SIHOO Doro C300
Price: $559.99 – $569.99
A budget-oriented ergonomic chair: an adaptive dynamic lumbar that follows your back, weight-sensing self-adjusting recline, and a breathable full-mesh back.
What users love
- All-day comfort. Users praise how comfortable it stays through long work and gaming days.
- A back that feels better. Several users say their back pain eased after switching from an older office or gaming chair.
Good to check first: Over 5'11"? SIHOO lists a taller height range for the C300 Pro models, so compare those too.

SIHOO Doro C300 Pro
Price: $789.99 – $839.99
The Doro C300 Pro is the step up from SIHOO's Doro C300 in the brand's mesh office chair range, and sits below the Doro S300 in price. It keeps the C300's general shape (a mesh back and mesh seat, a separate adjustable headrest and an automatic lumbar pad) and adds two things SIHOO highlights on the product page: an adjustable seat depth and 6D armrests that move up and down, left and right, front and back, inward and outward, with a tilt-lock and a linked recline. Official figures: SIHOO's US store lists general dimensions of 28" wide x 28" deep x 45"-51" high, a seat depth of 16.81"-17.76", a maximum hip width of 20.28", a 330 lb maximum load, a product weight of 55.34 lbs and a 3-year warranty, and says the chair is designed for users from 5' to 6'3". The EU store gives a seat cushion height range of 46-56.7 cm (18.11-22.32 in). The UK store quotes a maximum recline angle of 135°. Note that the UK and EU stores list the maximum load as 136 kg (300 lb), lower than the US figure; we show the US figure because this page uses the US store. SIHOO also states BIFMA and SGS certification. The lumbar pad is what SIHOO calls the BM (Body Movement) Tracking System: it is not adjusted by hand but follows the backrest as you change posture. The headrest moves up and down, back and forth and rotates. Seat height, seat depth and recline are all set from one handle on the right-hand side. The chair comes in Black or White, each as a Standard Version or a Footrest Version with a pull-out leg rest. Price: the SIHOO US store lists a regular price of $789.99 (Black) or $799.99 (White) for the Standard Version and $829.99-$839.99 for the Footrest Version. The store usually shows a much lower sale price next to the regular price, so check the live price before ordering; we only record the regular list price. C300 Pro against the Doro C300: the base C300's regular price is $559.99-$569.99 (Standard Version). Both chairs carry a 330 lb maximum load on the US store and a 3-year warranty. The C300 Pro is slightly heavier (55.34 lbs against the C300's 51.15 lb UK net weight), has a wider seat height range on SIHOO's EU figures (46-56.7 cm against the C300's 47-55 cm on the UK store), and swaps the C300's 4D coordinated arms for 6D arms. If seat-depth adjustment and arms that also move inward and outward matter to you, the Pro is the one to compare; if not, the C300 covers the same lumbar idea for less. C300 Pro against the newer Doro C300 Pro V2: SIHOO's US store calls the V2 its "Premium Pick" and gives it a lower regular price ($499.99-$549.99), 8D armrests, a manually adjustable sacral-lumbar pad with 3 levels and a backrest that moves up and down. SIHOO does not publish a seat height for the V2, so the C300 Pro is currently the one of the two with a full official seat-height range. What to check before ordering: your height against SIHOO's 5' to 6'3" range, whether you want the footrest (it adds $40 to the regular price), and the 55 lb weight if you will carry the box upstairs.
What users love
- Footrest lounging. C300 Pro users like stretching out with the footrest and a deep recline for a break.
- Arms that adjust every way. C300 Pro users call the armrests some of the most adjustable they have used.
Good to check first: Compare it with the C300 Pro V2, which lists for less with newer features.

HBADA E3 Pro (2026 Edition)
Price: $659 – $709
The E3 Pro 2026 Edition is HBADA's mesh office chair with a three-zone lumbar support: a centre pad and two side wings that HBADA says follow the back as you move, plus a 4D dual-axis headrest, 720° armrests, an adjustable seat depth and a four-position recline. It comes in Black or Gray, with or without a pull-out footrest. This page covers the 2026 Edition (HBADA SKUs E301…E-DLZ) that HBADA's US, UK and EU stores sell under the same name; HBADA's US store also still lists the earlier E3 Pro, which is a different listing. Official figures: HBADA's EU store gives a seat height of 46–54.5 cm (8.5 cm of travel), a seat depth of 45–50 cm (5 cm of travel) and a seat width of 51.5 cm, and four recline positions at 105°, 115°, 130° and 140°. The US store lists a maximum load of 330 lbs / 150 kg, overall dimensions of 26.0-27.95" deep, 25.6" wide and 43.7-51.8" high, and a recommended user height of 5'1" to 6'5" (155–195 cm). The UK store specification list gives the armrest travel (2.76" / 7 cm up and down, 2.36" / 6 cm forward and back, 360° pad and 360° body rotation, flip-up 26° and flip-down 13°), an armrest height of 28.3"–34.4", the lumbar travel (6 height levels over 2.36" / 6 cm, 1.26" / 3.2 cm forward and back, 40° side-wing rotation) and the headrest travel (1.57" / 4 cm up and down, 2.76" / 7 cm forward and back, two 70° rotation axes). HBADA does not publish the chair's own weight. Warranty: the US store lists 5 years on core load-bearing parts (base, gas lift, casters) and 3 years on other parts (mechanism, arms, backrest and so on). Price: the HBADA US store lists $659 without the footrest and $709 with it. On 2026-10-08 the store was running a sale ($487 / $539); we record the list price only, so check the live page before ordering. HBADA's UK and EU stores sell the same 2026 Edition in pounds and euros. What to check before ordering: the seat depth range (45–50 cm) if you have long or short thighs, whether you need the footrest version, and the armrest height range (28.3"–34.4") against your desk height.
Good to check first: Choose with or without the footrest at checkout; it is a separate option on the E3 Pro.

HBADA E3 Air (2026 Edition)
Price: $499 – $549
The E3 Air 2026 Edition is the lighter, lower-priced sibling of HBADA's E3 Pro. It keeps the three-zone lumbar (a centre pad with two side wings that pivot), the 4D dual-axis headrest, an all-mesh seat and an adjustable seat depth, and it is sold in Black or Gray, with or without a pull-out footrest. This page covers the 2026 Edition (HBADA SKUs E301…E-DLZ) sold under the same name on HBADA's US, UK and EU stores; HBADA's US store also still lists an earlier E3 Air, which is a different listing. Official figures: HBADA's EU store lists a seat height of 46.5–55 cm (8.5 cm of travel), a seat depth of 43–48 cm (5 cm of travel), a seat width of 51.5 cm, an armrest height of 68.5–84 cm and a five-position tilt up to 140°. The armrests move 7 cm up and down and 10 cm forward and back and the pads rotate 360°; the lumbar moves 5 cm in height (6 steps) and 3 cm in depth (4 steps), with 40° of side-wing rotation; the headrest moves 4 cm up and down and 7 cm forward and back, with two 70° rotation axes; the backrest itself rises 8 cm. The US store lists a 330 lb / 150 kg maximum load, overall dimensions of 26.4"-28" deep, 24.8" wide and 44.3"-52.4" high, and a recommended user height of 5'1" to 6'5" (155–195 cm). HBADA does not publish the chair's own weight. Warranty: the US store lists 5 years on the base, gas lift and casters and 3 years on other parts (mechanism, arms, backrest and so on). Price: the HBADA US store lists $499 without the footrest and $549 with it. On 2026-10-09 the store was running a sale ($379 / $427); we record the list price only, so check the live page before ordering. Compared with the E3 Pro (2026 Edition), HBADA's own comparison says the E3 Pro adds flip-up 720° arms, more lumbar height travel and a little more seat-depth travel, while the E3 Air has lower-reaching arms and one more recline lock. What to check before ordering: whether the lowest seat height (46.5 cm) suits your leg length, and whether you want the footrest version.
Good to check first: The armrest pads rotate 360°; for arms that also swivel at the body, look at the E3 Pro's 720° arms.

HBADA E3 Ultra
Price: $809
The E3 Ultra is the E3-series model with an aluminium-alloy backrest frame and a footrest included as standard. It has HBADA's three-zone elastic lumbar support (a centre pad with two side wings that rotate 40°), a 4D dual-axis headrest, 720° armrests whose pads and bodies both rotate 360°, a mesh seat and an adjustable seat depth. It comes in Gray or Black. HBADA's US store listed it as "Final Clearance" when we checked. Official figures: HBADA's US store lists a 330 lb / 150 kg maximum load and a recommended user height of 4'11" to 6'5" (150–195 cm); the UK and EU stores list overall dimensions of 26" deep, 25" wide and 42.91"–54.72" high. The lumbar moves 1.6" up and down and 1" forward and back; the headrest moves 1.8" up and down and 2.2" forward and back, with two 70° rotation axes; the seat depth adjusts by 1.97". HBADA's EU store says the chair reclines up to 140° with several locking positions. HBADA does not publish the seat height, the seat-depth range, the seat width or the chair's own weight for the E3 Ultra. Warranty: the US store lists 5 years. Price: the HBADA US store lists $809 for either colour. On 2026-10-11 the store showed a clearance price of $549; we record the list price only, so check the live page before ordering. What to check before ordering: because HBADA publishes no seat-height range for this model, compare it with your leg length and desk height using the overall height range, or ask HBADA before buying.
Good to check first: HBADA lists the E3 Ultra as Final Clearance with no restocks, so check stock and colour before you plan around it.

SIHOO Doro C300 Ultra V2
Price: $679.99 – $689.99
The Doro C300 Ultra V2 is the highest model in SIHOO's Doro C300 line. SIHOO builds it on a reclining base it calls the Zero-Gravity Space Chassis (fiberglass plates combined with a four-spring suspension), with a backrest that glides on a dual-track, dual-spring mechanism as you lean back (SyncroFlex), a sacral-lumbar pad that moves up and down and has three support levels (Domino 2.0), 8D armrests, a 3D headrest, an aluminium-alloy backrest frame and a mesh back and seat. The US store sells it only as the Footrest Version, in Black or White. Official figures (SIHOO US store): seat depth 16.9"–18.5" (1.6" of travel), seat width 20.5", backrest height 21.1"–24.2" above the seat (7 settings over 3.2"), maximum load 330 lbs, net weight 57.10 lbs and recline positions at 105°, 120° and 135°. The seat height (47.5–55.5 cm, about 18.7"–21.9") and the overall size (70 cm wide at the base, 74 cm deep, 113–133.5 cm high) come from the dimension drawing in SIHOO's specification panel, not from the written spec list, and that drawing labels the seat depth about 0.5 cm shorter than the written figure. SIHOO does not publish a recommended user height for this model. Warranty: 3 years, covering manufacturing defects (SIHOO US store). Price: the SIHOO US store lists $679.99 (Black) and $689.99 (White). On 2026-10-13 the store showed $609.99 and $619.99; we record the list price only, so check the live page before ordering. What to check before ordering: the seat height is published only in a drawing, so compare 47.5–55.5 cm with your desk height and leg length. There is no version without the footrest on the US store, and the chair weighs 57.10 lbs (SIHOO's UK store says it ships in two packages).

HBADA X7 Smart
Price: $1,509
The X7 is HBADA's powered office chair: the three-zone lumbar pad is moved in and out by a motor that responds to pressure sensors (HBADA calls this AI smart lumbar tracking), and the chair adds a dual-core back massager, seat heating, a ventilated seat with two fans and a rechargeable battery. Around that it has the familiar HBADA adjustments: a 4D dual-axis headrest, 720° armrests, an adjustable seat depth and a footrest. It comes in Urban Grey and Pro Black with an aluminium-alloy backrest frame. HBADA also sells an X7 Air with a nylon backrest frame (the only difference, according to HBADA); the X7 Air is not covered on this page. Official figures (HBADA US store; the UK and EU stores give the same seat figures): seat height 17.52"–20.87" / 44.5–53 cm (3.35" / 8.5 cm of travel), seat depth 15.94"–17.91" / 40.5–45.5 cm (5 cm of travel), seat width 20.5" / 52 cm, overall size 27.6" deep x 27.6" wide x 41.3" high, maximum load 330 lbs / 150 kg, recommended user height 4'11"–6'5" (150–195 cm) and a chair weight of 83.78 lb. The lumbar travels 50 mm forward and back (motorised) and 45 mm up and down (by hand); the headrest moves 45 mm in height and 55 mm forward and back with 70° of rotation; the armrests move 50 mm in height and 110 mm forward and back, rotate 360° and flip 20°. The product page shows recline positions at 105°, 116°, 128° and 140°. Warranty: the US store lists 5 years on the five-star base, gas lift and casters, and 3 years on the tilt mechanism, height adjustment, lumbar system, armrests and backrest frame. Price: the HBADA US store lists $1,509 for either colour. On 2026-10-09 the store showed $1,169 (Grey) and $1,329 (Black); we record the list price only, so check the live page before ordering. What to check before ordering: the chair is heavy (83.78 lb) and relies on a battery for the powered features, and its seat height range (44.5–53 cm) is worth checking against your leg length and desk height.
Good to check first: The powered lumbar, massage, heating and fans run on a rechargeable battery, so plan where you will charge it.

Frequently asked
- Are these chairs medical devices?
- No. They are office chairs, and Chairpedia makes no health claims about them. This shortlist compares what you can adjust to fit your body: lumbar height and depth, seat depth, recline locks and arm adjustment.
- Which chairs here let me move the lumbar support up and down?
- In the brands' own specifications: the Steelcase Leap (5 in), the Autonomous ErgoChair Pro (6 in), the HBADA E3 Pro (6 cm in 6 levels), the HBADA E3 Air (5 cm in 6 levels), the SIHOO B300 Pro (2"), the SIHOO M18 and M57 (vertical and horizontal), the SIHOO Doro C300 Pro V2 (up or down, 3 levels) and the Branch Ergonomic Chair (height-adjustable and removable).
- Which chairs here start under $500?
- The SIHOO M18 from $289.99, the SIHOO M57 at $319.99, the SIHOO B300 Pro from $329.99, the Branch Ergonomic Chair from $369, the FlexiSpot C7 at $429.99, the HBADA E3 Air from $499, the Autonomous ErgoChair Pro at $499 and the SIHOO Doro C300 Pro V2 from $499.99.
- What does an adaptive or dynamic lumbar mean?
- The brand says the support moves with you instead of being set by hand. SIHOO describes the Doro C300's lumbar as self-adaptive, and FlexiSpot lists the C7's as self-adaptive and forward/backward adjustable. The HBADA E3 Pro offers both an adaptive and a lock mode. If you prefer a support that stays put, check for a lock or manual setting.
- How is this list ordered?
- It is a hand-picked shortlist, shown without numbers; the order is not a test score. Most chairs here list an adjustable or self-adjusting lumbar in the brand's own specifications. The Herman Miller Embody and Kokuyo Ing Cloud have no separate lumbar pad and support the lower back through the backrest design instead.
