Summary
A light Steelcase task chair with a weight-activated recline and adjustable lumbar as standard.
Best for
- People who want the recline to set itself to their weight.
- Users up to 400 lb, Steelcase's stated rating.
- Moving the chair often; Steelcase lists it at 35 lb.
Good to check first
- Recline is set with a four-setting comfort dial rather than a tension knob.
- 4D arms are one of several arm choices, so pick them when you configure.
- Taller desks may need the optional 7" cylinder (18"–25" seat height).
The trade-off
Simple, self-adjusting recline in a light frame, with fewer manual settings than Steelcase's Leap.
