Summary

A curved meeting-room chair from Keilhauer, sold as its first carbon-neutral product.

Best for

  • Meeting rooms and shared desks; Keilhauer designed it for meeting rooms of all sizes.
  • Buyers who track embodied carbon; Keilhauer publishes a third-party life cycle assessment.
  • Those who want a choice of knit mesh or channel-stitched upholstered backs.

Good to check first

  • Ask the dealer for the weight rating; Keilhauer's product page does not list one.
  • Keilhauer names height, tilt and lumbar adjustment; ask the dealer about seat depth and arms.
  • Pricing comes through Keilhauer's dealer price lists rather than an online store.

The trade-off

Design and low-carbon credentials first, with fewer published fit details than a full task chair.

Value check

Sold through Keilhauer dealers; the brand does not show a US retail price online.

What Keilhauer highlights

  • Nature-inspired form

The shell has strong curves and flowing lines. Keilhauer says the shape was inspired by forms found in nature.

  • Mesh or upholstered back

Swurve comes with a knit mesh back or a channel-stitched upholstered back. Keilhauer offered the mesh in 22 colours at launch.

  • Carbon neutral

Keilhauer measured the chair's carbon with a third-party ISO 14044 life cycle assessment. It offsets the remainder through verified carbon-reduction projects.

  • Recycled materials

The chair uses 20% recycled aluminium, 80% recycled steel and 60% recycled nylon parts. Keilhauer says the mesh back is made with zero waste.

  • Repairable build

Parts are designed to be repaired or replaced, and the chair can be recycled. Keilhauer backs it with a 10-year warranty.

As described by Keilhauer on its official pages; not a Chairpedia assessment.
