What Cassina highlights

  • Leather over a steel skeleton

The chair's leather cover fits over a steel frame the way skin fits over a skeleton. Cassina calls it the first free-standing leather chair.

  • Sixteen hand-cut pieces

The cover is made of sixteen pieces of saddle leather, die-cut and worked by hand. The pieces are sewn together after their edges are trimmed.

  • Zipped on

Once assembled, the cover is fixed to the frame with zippers. Cassina compares it to a tailored garment.

As described by Cassina on its official pages; not a Chairpedia assessment.
