Summary

An Okamura task chair designed with Italdesign, with a twisting ring frame and a forward tilt.

Best for

  • People who shift side to side; the outer frame flexes while the inner frame holds you.
  • Typing close to the desk; the seat tilts forward up to 10°.
  • Users up to 300 lb, Okamura's global rating (BIFMA X5.1).

Good to check first

  • The headrest, lumbar support and hanger are separate options, so add them when you order.
  • Okamura's Japan store takes no change-of-mind returns, so try one in a showroom if you can.
  • Seat height runs 420–520 mm in Okamura's drawings; check it against your desk.

The trade-off

A flexing frame and forward tilt, with limited return options outside Japan's dealer network.

What Okamura highlights

  • Twisting ring frame

The inner frame holds you while the outer frame flexes. Okamura says this lets the back follow side-to-side movement.

  • Synchro recline with forward tilt

Seat and back recline together up to 23° and tilt forward up to 10°. The recline locks in four positions.

  • Multiple-density cushion

The seat layers urethane foams, softer at the front and firmer at the rear.

  • Adjustable arms

The arms move 100 mm in height, 50 mm forward and back, and angle 20° in or out.

As described by Okamura on its official pages; not a Chairpedia assessment.
