AndaSeat Kaiser 4 vs Secretlab TITAN Evo: Specs, Sizes and Price Compared

Research note: This comparison uses AndaSeat's spec sheets and US store listing and Secretlab's technical specification PDF and US store, not a hands-on Chairpedia test. Figures are quoted as each brand states them, with the size they apply to.

Introduction

The AndaSeat Kaiser 4 and the Secretlab TITAN Evo are the two gaming chairs most buyers at this price end up weighing against each other. In one sentence: the Kaiser 4 offers 6D armrests, a pop-out lumbar that locks at any angle and a size pair (L and XL) that reaches a 395 lb limit, while the TITAN Evo offers three sizes (Small, Regular and X-Large), a deeper 85°–165° recline and an in-built 4-way L-ADAPT lumbar, at a list price in the same range. Both ship with a magnetic head pillow.

At a glance

AndaSeat Kaiser 4 — strengths and weaknesses

Documented features: AndaSeat's spec sheets list 6D armrests with 2.76 in (7 cm) of height adjustment, a 24° pop-out lumbar with an any-angle lock plus built-in in-out and up-down adjustment, a magnetic head pillow and a 90°–135° backrest recline with 15° rocking. Seat height is 18.11–20.67 in (46–52.5 cm) in both sizes. The L size measures 18.50 in (47 cm) deep, 19.29 in (49 cm) wide including the side bolsters and 11.42 in (29 cm) between them, with a 32.28 in (82 cm) backrest; the XL is 20.08 in (51 cm) deep, 21.26 in (54 cm) and 12.60 in (32 cm) wide and has a 34.05 in (86.5 cm) backrest. Limits are 260 lb for the L and 395 lb for the XL, and the product page states a five-year warranty.

Check before buying: AndaSeat recommends the L for 150–180 cm (4 ft 11 in to 5 ft 11 in) and under 120 kg, and the XL for 181–210 cm (5 ft 11 in to 6 ft 11 in) and 80–180 kg, so a sitter just under six feet sits at the top of L or the bottom of XL. The chair weighs 71.87 lb (32.6 kg) in L and 73.55 lb (33.36 kg) in XL. The AndaSeat US store lists it at $549 (L) to $579 (XL) in PVC leather or linen fabric.

Secretlab TITAN Evo — strengths and weaknesses

Documented features: Secretlab's technical specification lists 4-directional full-metal armrests with the CloudSwap replacement system, an in-built 4-way L-ADAPT lumbar, a magnetic memory-foam head pillow with cooling gel and an 85°–165° recline on a high-grade spring with the tilt unlocked. The Regular size has a 45–52 cm (17.7–20.5 in) seat height, a 49 cm (19.3 in) seat depth, a 47 cm (18.5 in) seat base that is 56 cm (22.0 in) wide including the sides, an 85 cm (33.5 in) backrest and a 130 kg (285 lb) maximum load. The Small shares the seat height with a 48 cm (18.9 in) depth and a 45 cm (17.7 in) seat base; the X-Large moves to a 46–55.5 cm (18.1–21.9 in) seat height, 50 cm (19.7 in) depth, a 49 cm (19.3 in) seat base, an 89 cm (35.0 in) backrest and a 180 kg (395 lb) load.

Check before buying: Secretlab's size guide puts Regular at 170–189 cm and under 100 kg, Small under 170 cm and under 90 kg, and X-Large at 181–205 cm and 80–180 kg. The warranty figures in our ledger come from Secretlab's Japan-store warranty statement — 3 years standard, 5 years when registered under the extended warranty program — so confirm the terms on the US store before relying on them. The US Secretlab store lists the TITAN Evo at $579 for the Regular size in black NEO Hybrid Leatherette; other sizes, materials and special editions were not checked for this comparison.

How they differ

Sizing: The TITAN Evo splits its range into three sizes and the Kaiser 4 into two. The TITAN Evo Small (under 170 cm) has no Kaiser 4 counterpart: AndaSeat's L starts at 150 cm but shares its seat with sitters up to 180 cm. At the other end both brands offer a 395 lb size. Height ranges overlap: TITAN Evo Regular covers 170–189 cm and X-Large 181–205 cm, while Kaiser 4 L covers 150–180 cm and XL 181–210 cm.

Seat: Measured including the side bolsters, the Kaiser 4 L is 19.29 in (49 cm) wide and the XL 21.26 in (54 cm); the TITAN Evo Regular is 22.0 in (56 cm) and the X-Large 22.8 in (58 cm). Secretlab's seat-base figure (18.5 in / 47 cm for Regular) and AndaSeat's between-the-bolsters figure (11.42 in / 29 cm for L) are measured differently, so compare only the including-sides numbers. Seat depth is 18.50 in (47 cm) on the Kaiser 4 L and 19.3 in (49 cm) on the TITAN Evo Regular.

Recline and lumbar: The TITAN Evo reclines to 165°, the Kaiser 4 to 135°. The Kaiser 4's lumbar pops out up to 24° and locks at any angle; the TITAN Evo's L-ADAPT lumbar is built into the backrest with 4-way adjustment and no pop-out.

Armrests: AndaSeat's 6D arms add upward tilt, armpad rotation and arm rotation; Secretlab's 4-directional arms use the CloudSwap system for swapping armrest tops.

Price and warranty: At list, the Kaiser 4 is $549 (L) to $579 (XL) and the TITAN Evo Regular is $579; both brands run sales, and TITAN Evo materials and sizes other than the one checked may be priced differently. The Kaiser 4 product page states a five-year warranty; Secretlab's statement lists 3 years, or 5 years with registration under its extended program.

Who should buy which

Consider the AndaSeat Kaiser 4 if:

• You want a lumbar you can swing out and lock at a chosen angle

• You want 6D armrests with tilt and rotation

• You fit AndaSeat's L (150–180 cm, under 120 kg) or XL (181–210 cm, 80–180 kg) guide

Consider the Secretlab TITAN Evo if:

• You are under 170 cm and want the Small size

• You recline a long way: 165° against 135°

• You prefer a lumbar built into the backrest over a pop-out pad

Bottom line

Pick by size first: the TITAN Evo has a dedicated Small size for sitters under 170 cm, where the Kaiser 4 seats everyone from 150 to 180 cm in its L, and both brands reach a 395 lb size. After that it is a recline-and-lumbar question — a 165° recline with a built-in lumbar on the TITAN Evo, or a 135° recline with a lockable pop-out lumbar and 6D arms on the Kaiser 4 — at list prices in the same range.
