How to read your chair-fit results

Chairpedia uses published dimensions to identify likely fit conflicts. It keeps product facts, editorial judgment, and unknown values separate.

What does the Chairpedia Fit Score mean?

It is a 0–100 index of how well published chair dimensions match your entered measurements — not a chair rating, probability, medical assessment or comfort guarantee. A number is shown only when at least two of seat height, seat depth and weight capacity are published; otherwise the result says "Not enough fit data".

Which chair measurements does the calculator use?

The calculator checks published seat-height and seat-depth ranges, weight capacity when weight is entered, and floor-to-armrest clearance when desk clearance is requested. Missing measurements remain marked as unknown.

Does a high Fit Score guarantee that a chair will be comfortable?

No. Dimensions can rule out likely conflicts, but cushion feel, mesh tension, recline behavior, and personal preference still require an in-person trial when possible.

How does Chairpedia choose recommended chairs?

Chairpedia compares the same personal ranges against every fit-ready catalog record, keeps missing data visible, and assigns independent awards such as Best Overall Fit or Best Value only when the available evidence supports them.
